In the researches we have done, we have seen that there is a lack of information about the manufacturing process and the use of mobile phones. People do not know which different phases are before and after they get the mobile phone on the store, and they do not care about it. That’s why, communication and awareness is one of our goals, creating a fun communication tool
Another aim of the game is to attract people and build a community; a social game where the users can learn new skills and be informed about the mobile phone life cycle, where they can communicate with other users and compete between them.
A fast, agile, real time play.
LEARNING BY PLAYING
The principal idea of the concept is to build a mobile phone factory. The user has to become the most eco-friendly mobile phone manufacturer with the activities that he/she does.
It is a social game where each user has to built his/her own factory, but they help each other. They will make a community to help each other, to share information, ...
A strenght point of this concept is that the virtual life is connected to the real life. Depending the actions that you made in the game you will have effects in your real life, and viceversa. For esample, if you recycle mobile phones taking them into a store, you can get points or scores in you virtual game.
To have a clearer view of the concept we have attached a flow called "diagram".
In this moment, we are working on the procedure and the phases of the game, describing the story and the design. Defining the fun, the problems that are going to be reflected in the game and the graphic we are going to use for the target, that it is going to be for 8-34 aged people because they are the ones that most use social games.
We are also thinking of which would be the best name for the game. We have thrown some ideas that are attached in the "name" file. You can give us your opinion and suggestions about it.
Social games are a success at the moment, that's why we want to use this tool as a communication toal and make people aware. It is important to this game to be an easy, simple and a fun game.
On the other hand, in order to bring this idea into reality a social game developer and a partnership with a company will be needed.
With this game people will be aware of the life cycle of the mobile phones and problems that are behind in order to change the habits and be more sustainable.
On the other hand, it is a social game where people can communicate, have fun and make platforms to solve problems around the telecom industry.
It is also important the connection between the virtual and real life that it is. To be the best in one part, you have to be the best in the other. Make your best!
Because of the short space to describe the concept, in the following lines there is a deeper description of the concept and the attached diagram:
It is a virtual game where each user has to build the best mobile phone company and he/she will be responsible for the actions, benefits and repercussions that the company will suffer. He/she will have to build a simple factory with all the components that are required: raw materials, machinery, building … in order to be able to manufacture an amount of mobile phones and be able to sell them to the phone store. After the manufacturing process, the sale point will buy the phones that the users have built (This phones are not useful before passign from the sela point). The mobile phones will cost more or less depending on the sustainable level which will depend on the activities and decisions that the user has taken during the manufacturing process. Then the users will go to the store to buy the mobile phones to use in their daily activities: make calls, send text messages, charge the mobile phone... . Afterwards, in the end of life of the phones, there will be the possibility to throw to the landfill, to recycle, to reuse or donate to other people or organizations. With the last three choices the system will continue and the game player will have to decide what to do with the components. Depending on the action that the user has made, there will be a possitive or negative repercussions for them.
Whar are your suggestions for the concept?what do you think about it?
